The Basics

The South Rim of the Grand Canyon averages 7,000 feet (2,134 meters) above sea level, with natural wonders including Navajo Point, Hermit Road, and the Abyss. Grand Canyon Village is home to a variety of historic buildings, while other popular stops include the Grand Canyon Railway Depot, the Bright Angel Lodge, Kolb Studio, and the Desert View Watchtower, which features work by Hopi artists and incorporates Native American art and design.

Choosing a group bus tour, helicopter tour, air tour, or a self-drive tour makes the South Rim conveniently accessible from Las Vegas. Tours also leave from Sedona and Phoenix, and some combine the trip with a visit to the West Rim, the North Rim, or the Hoover Dam. A Grand Canyon helicopter tour is undoubtedly the fastest and most dramatic way to visit the canyon from Vegas.

Small-Group or Private Deluxe Grand Canyon Day Trip from Phoenix
The whole trip, from pick-up time was great. Tracy our tour guide was great, very friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The trip to the Grand Canyon south rim from Phoenix was a bit long so the time at the canyon was a bit too short. But Tracy made the whole trip on the way to the Grand Canyon fun. Explaining and pointing out things on the way, making the trip a sight seeing trip to the Grand Canyon as well. My family and I loved it. Definitely can and will recommend this company.

Small-Group Grand Canyon Complete Tour from Sedona or Flagstaff
Our guide Kevin was so engaging of everyone in the group always by name. There was no napping on this tour. Very knowledgeable about the history, culture, flora. Made us very aware of safety precautions in and out of the van. Our lunch at the Cameron trading post was outstanding. Did I mention Kevin speaks multiple languages including Navajo! Thanks Kevin for a great memory of the Grand Canyon. A walking encyclopedia.
A wonderful trip

Grand Canyon Complete Day Tour from Sedona or Flagstaff
Jason was an excellent guide. He was prompt on our pickup, very knowledgeable, and helpful. The van was clean & he had plenty of water for us. The sights were beyond spectacular. We had plenty of time at each stop. Our only negative was Jason’s rush to get back at the end of the day. The roads were wet & at one point he passed 3 cars at one time.

Grand Canyon Hike from Sedona or Flagstaff with 7 Guest Limit
Well worth the price of this tour- it was my first time hiking in the Grand Canyon. Our guide, Dom, was very conscientious and knowledgeable. I never felt unsafe, and after this experience, I would feel very comfortable returning without a guide. The van transportation was modern, clean, and comfortable. Dom stopped at various points of interest to / from the Grand Canyon from Sedona. This is a great tour company and we had an excellent guide.

Day Tour Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon and Horseshoe Bend
Our tour guide (Tom) was fantastic. Even though we were a group of 3, he still took us to all of the places listed and more. Due to Covid, we were unable to go to Antelope Canyon and the East Rim of Grand Canyon. Tom has amazing photography skills and took great photos of us. I would highly recommend him.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • The Canyon View Visitor Center, near the south entrance, stocks maps, books, and videos, while the Cameron Trading Post, outside the east entrance to the park, boasts a selection of souvenirs and supplies.

  • Stop by the Hopi House Gift Store and Art Gallery to see art and crafts from the local tribes.

  • If driving, be sure you have plenty of gas in your car before setting out for the canyon; there are few service stations in this remote part of Arizona.
